Tafea claim first win

Tupuji Imere defender Timtim handles the ball in his own penalty area in 15 minutes as Tafea young defender Kevin Shem step up and sent Imere keeper Sika Alfred the wrong way as the ball hits the back of the net.
Tafea made it 2-0 before half time as Kevin Shem’s free kick found Captain Joseph Namariau in the penalty and the former Suva striker strikes Tafea second goal in the match.
After the break, Tupuji Imere came back strongly and misses to golden chances to score as Tafea new coach Jerry Napat and his boys hold on their lead until the final whistle.
“Good start for the boys and good win.” Said Tafea new coach Jerry Napat.
“The boys faced alot of challenges in the last few weeks but today they play well and win and I am happy for them.” Said Vanuatu former midfielder and Tafea new coach Jerry Napat.
Tupuji Imere new coach David Chillia was proud of his players but lamented their inability to take their chances.
“It was a very close match and we gave away two easy goals to Tafea.” “We need more paces, more precision and we need to attack the space so that we avoid running into the opposition defence.
“But considering the season has only just begun I don’t think it’s too bad. Sometimes a team needs results like this to find its form.” Concluded David Chillia.
Tupuji Imere next match is against Spirit 08 FC next Saturday at 11am while Tafea takes on Yatel FC at 3pm.
