Eddison return after ‘incredible’ recovery

Eddison is in line for a speedy return to the Vanuatu U 23 squad after making an “incredible” recovery from knee injury last Saturday, which was expected to keep him out for up to one month.
The midfielder picked up the injured his left knee after colliding with a player on Saturday 3rd March 2012 during Vanuatu U 23 friendly match with Palm Beach.
The problem is then thought to have worsened in training before Vanuatu second friendly match against Burleigh FC.
However, Eddison has shown great recovery after four days and has passed two fitness tests on Friday organized by the coaches.
“Once I had the knee injury, I was literally jogging about after four days, which was incredible,” he said.
“It’s down to getting over it mentally as well, that you’ve had a knee injury. Once you’re clear of that, you can push yourself on.
“I said to the my coach and team-mates, the way things were here, I just wanted to push myself, trust God our creator and be involved and try to get back as quickly as possible and today am fit to play again.”
Eddison will fly with the Vanuatu U 23 team on Tuesday 13 Match 2012 to New Zealand to participate in the OFC Men’s Olympic Qualifier in Taupo kicks off on the 16th March 2012.
