Denis Ifunaoa gave Solomon Warriors a precious lead as he volleyed a shot from the corner and surprisingly the wind helped the ball entered the goal mouth of Western United FC.
Western United strikers Benjamin Totori and Joses Nawo had few chances to score but Warriors defender, Brian Kaltack was too strong at the back.
Final score, Solomon Warriors FC 1-0 Western United FC.
The win puts Solomon Warriors FC top of the ladder with six points, two a head of Amicale FC.
Western United remains third on the ladder with one point.
The last day of the Melanesian Super Cup 2015 will take place at Port Vila Stadium this Saturday 10 October 2015.
Defending Champions, Solomon Warriors just needs a draw against Amicale FC to take back the Vanuatu Tamtam to Honiara on Sunday.
