Leong happy with three points

Alick Maemae 16 minute’s header proved enough for Amicale, but they spent much of the match on the back foot before improving after the break.
A great cross to him by team mates Richard Anisua as he scores the most beautiful goal of the day by a back head header and surprises 3500 fans when the ball drives in Tafea’s net past goal keeper Selonie Iaruel.
“To beat Tafea is not easy but today I can live very well with the three points.”
“We did play so well and it was a top performance from our boys after we lost to Hekari United last Saturday, but we were up against very good opponents (Tafea FC) today.”
“Fans turn up in big numbers to the stadium when it comes to Tafea and Amicale affairs.” Andrew said. “You have to remember that a lot of our players are really tired after our O-League matches.”
“We have few new players like Fijian Samuela and Spirit 08 midfielder Roddy Lenga and today they have worked really hard.”
“Football is not magic, you have to adapt to new players and the qualities that they bring. We are doing this match by match and while the individual talent is there we are still making progress as a team.”concluded Mr. Andrew Leong.
Amicale’s win lifted them to 25 points – two behind league leader Tafea FC.
In the other two matches, Tupuji Imere beat Spirit 08 FC 3-1 and Shepherds United beat Ifira Black Bird 3-1.
