New Prime Minister meets Vanuatu U-17 Team

Honourable Prime Minister handover the new jerseys to each player and the national flag and said,” I am proud to be here today to present your football jerseys.”
“On behalf of the government and the people of Vanuatu, I take this opportunity to wish you all the best in the competition.”
“it is not going to be easy but remember that we will support you all through to your last game.”
“Enjoy the beautiful game of football and play smart.” Said the Honourable Prime Minister Moana Carcasses Kalosil.
The squad named the Prime Minster as the number 23 player and gave him the number 23 jersey during the presentation in front of 500 soccer fans today.
“We are honoured to have the Prime Minister come down to meet with us and discuss and gave his support to our national U-17 team. This is a positive step forward and we really looking forward for more support from the government to football in the future.” Said Christian Kaltabang, Port Vila Football President.
The CEO of VFF Mr. Albert Manaroto also thanked the Prime Minister and his government for presenting the national team uniform to the players and also the national flag.
“We also want to acknowledge the support of the national government in this initiative. Without the government we have limited options to host the competition in Santo after next week.,” said Albert Manaroto.
Vanuatu national U-17 team will travel to Santo on Monday 8 April 2013.
Their first match in the competition is against Papua New Guinea on the 17th April 2013 at Chapuis Stadium
