Daudau hero as Amicale beat Tafea

The match got off to a poor start for Tafea as Solomon Islands International; Daudau Gibson scored the only goal in the match just before break as the defending champion hold on to the final whistle.
In other games today, Erakor Golden Star FC drew with Spirit 08 FC 0-0 and Tupuji Imere FC beat Ifira Black Bird 3-1.
Port Vila Stadium was fully packed with over 4000 soccer fans today to witness the end of the first leg of the TVL Premier League Competition.
After the game Robert Yelou said it a great feeling to stay top of TVL premier League after first leg.
“It is not easy to beat a team like Tafea FC.” They are young and strong but today we work hard and play well.”
“The most important thing is to score goal and win to get the three points and today we are happy because the points belongs to us.” said Amicale midfielder Robert Yelou after the match.
The win puts Amicale on top of the TVL Premier League after first leg with 16 points, Erakor Golden Star 14 and Spirit 08 FC with 13 points.
Second leg of the competition kicks off next Thursday 1 November 2012, Seveners United takes on Spirit 08 FC. On Saturday 3 November 2012 at 11am- Shepherds vs Amicale, 1pm – Tupuji Imere vs Tafea and 3pm- Erakor Golden Star vs Ifira Black Bird.
