Tupuji worked hard to draw with Spirit

David Chilia has praised his side’s fighting spirit against a very good team in the league.
Tupuji opened the scoring early in 4 mins just after the kick, thanks to goal from Wille Leeman.
26 minutes later, Spirit 08 level the score line when Tupuji Imere goal keeper Anley Langa pushed in a powerful shot from Didier Kalip just 7 meters away from his goal line.
After the break, Spirit 08 FC hits their second goal in the match from Owen Siehi just outside the penalty box in 60 minutes.
Tupuji work hard in the last 14 minutes and saw their deadly striker Rodney Serveux level the score board 2-2 with Spirit 08 FC.
The bad news for Spirit 08 is their powerful defender Selwyn Sese received a second caution in the match and was shown the red card by referee Alick Lukai and will miss their next match against Erakor Golden Star next Friday at 3pm.
But Tupuji Imere’s head coach David Chilia was particularly pleased with the way they play against Spirit.
“We lost one game last week and today the boys had to work hard for this draw,” said Mr. Chilia. “We went through a moment of the game where we could have suffered. The second goal gave us one point on the table.”
“We have only one point now and we will continue to work hard in training before we meet Amicale next Saturday.” The boys would like to dedicated our draw today with Spirit 08 to our long time captain Anto Malapa who will be travelling to next week to New Zealand for a period of seven months.
Other results today, the two teams from South Efate, Erakor Golden Star and Ifira Black Bird draw 1-1 and Tafea beat Yatel 2-1 and top TVL Premier League in Day Two with six points.
Three top teams will qualify to VFF National Super League Competition next year.
