Women footballers bring new life

After years of no active women’s football competition, women’s football is coming into its own this season thanks to all the players, club managements and media for promoting the game.
New research shows that the women’s version of the game is now becoming more popular in Port Vila in terms of participation.
Women’s Football Development Officer, Rorona Kalsakau said, “I think our girls are enjoying playing soccer now. It’s a lot more acceptable and now we have a Women’s League and more young girls are coming to play soccer.”
Last Saturday saw Ifira Black girls beat Tafea girls 2-1 for the first time.
