Christopher Andrew made a very good run with ball, dribble past two New Caledonia defenders on the right and found Nikiau free in the penalty box and pass him the ball as he just tap the ball into the empty net in just 5 minutes.
Vanuatu should have scored another goal but Christopher Andrew’s shot just goes over the crossbar.
This is Vanuatu third straight win over New Caledonia U23 as the Cyclones now top Four Nations Friendship Cup table with three points after Fiji and Solomon Islands drew 1-1 in the second match of the competition.
The local boys will take on Solomon Islands U23 national team on Monday at 1pm and the Local Organizing Committee already made a special appeal to the fans to come and watch all the actions of the Melanesian football.
