Magnoni scores as Amicale overcome tough United challenge

The match proved to be a thriller as both teams displayed fast paced constructive football to delight their fans who filled up ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
The Red Roosters striker, Miguel Magnoni again made no mistake as he volleyed in a powerful shot past Western United goalkeeper in the second half as Amicale beat Western 1-0.
The teams filled Italian goalkeeper, Mauro Boerchio ( Amciale) and Fabrizio Prattico ( Western United), who displayed top performances, pulling saves after saves in each half.
Amicale FC coach, Marco Banchini satisfied with the win and said his players had to work hard to secure three points.
“Western United was a very tough opponent and forced us to play hard for the entire 90 minutes.” Said Mr. Banchini.
“We are with the win and now our main focus in Suva FC on Tuesday.” He said.
The win puts Amicale level with Auckland City with three points on the table but second on goal difference.
The Red Roosters will play their second match in the competition against host, Suva FC on Tuesday 14 April 2015 at ANZ Stadium, kick off time 7pm. Vanuatu time- 6pm.
