School Football League starts soon

Vanuatu Football technical director Peter Takaro confirmed that 10 different schools ( French and Englis) on the island of Efate has shown huge interest to starts the Youth Football League.
“We had our first meeting last Friday and ten high schools sport teachers turns up which is very good to see.” Said Peter Takaro.
“Few companies in town have shown interest to sponsor youth football competition because this is the future of Vanuatu Football.”
“During the first FIFA Youth Coaching course in August, we have learned a lot from the FIFA/ OFC coaching Instructor, Mr. Giovanni Fernades who encouraged all youth coaches to go back and starts youth football competition.”
“We had a youth football competition last month and more than 200 young footballers from ten schools took part and now we really want to start a Youth Football League and last Friday’s meeting with teachers was very positive.”
“This competition is not for boys only and schools who want to starts a girls team are most welcome.” Said Peter Takaro.
The committee has agreed to start the U12, U15 and U17 competition soon and schools in Port Vila who would to enroll their teams must contact Vanuatu Football Federation today Wednesday 16 September 2015 by 4.30pm.
