Antonio appointed Vanuatu Beach Boys captain

36 years old will lead Vanuatu Beach Soccer team to play eight important matches at Coolangatta Gold Coast Beach in two days. The boys will play their wantoks, Solomon Islands in the opening match of the competition today at 9am.
Four teams will compete in the Gold Coast Beach Soccer competition today Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 April 2012. Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Indonesia and Wollongong.
Program: Saturday 7 April 2012: 9-10am: Vanuatu vs Solomon Is, 10-11am Wollongong vs Indonesia, 11-noon: Indonesia vs Vanuatu, Noon-1pm Solomon is vs Wollongong, 1.30pm-2.30pm Solomon is vs Vanuatu, 2:30pm-3:30pm Indonesia vs Wollongong, 3:30pm-4:30pm Wollongong vs Solomon Is and 4:30pm-5:30pm Indonesia vs Vanuatu.
Sunday 8 April 2012 program: 9-10am Wollongong vs Indonesia, 10-11am Solomon Is vs Vanuatu, 11-noon Vanuatu vs Wollongong , Noon-1pm Indonesia vs Solomon Is.
1:30pm-2:30pm semi- finals 1st vs 4th, 2:30pm-3:30pm 2nd vs 3rd, 3:30pm -4:30pm L1 vs L2 for 3rd place play-off and grand final will be at 4.30pm-5.30pm.
“It’s not going to be an easy day for us as we are going to play four games today and tomorrow.” Said Antonio Malapa the captain.
The management also appointed two vice captains and they are Ham Isaie and Daniel Natou of Tafea FC.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Beach Soccer management for their trust in me and my two vice captains and just to let all fans know that it will be a difficult day but our boys are all ready for day one action today.” Concluded Malapa
