Girl’s goalkeeping trials very important; McDonald

Women’s youth football volunteer, Tom McDonald from Sydney said this is the first time for VFF women’s department to carry out a girl’s trial for young goal keepers only and it’s the first of its kind that VFF has ever organized to find top goalkeepers in Vanuatu.
VFF goal keeper coaches, Wilson August and Obed Jimmy are the two instructors to supervise this important trial.
Mr. McDonald told vanuafoot that the same program will continue this Friday at Korman Stadium, time 2:30pm and the VFF bus will pick up the interest girls in their respective schools to attend the trial.
“The trials were held for the recently created national under 17’s Women squad who began training 2 weeks ago.”
“Following the trials the selected keepers will receive one training session per-week specific to goalkeeping from VFF coaches. “Goalkeepers can often be forgotten about, which crazy is given the vital position they play” said the squads coach Tom McDonald. “
“The VFF put these trials and training sessions in place to give our girls the best chance at developing to their full potential and to compete on the worlds stage. “ he concluded.
