Port Vila Squad’s 2nd Sister City title

Two great goals from Port Vila and Amicale attacking midfielder Dominique saw Port Vila Squad who was top from the opening day of the campaign maintained their lead until they won the competition for the second time today.
Port Vila Two reply back in the last dying minute as Alista Kalip slot in a powerful shot but there is not enough time for the Reds to level before referee Mahit Chilia blow the final whistle.
With Port Vila squad coach Peter Takaro publicly congratulates his side for their second victory in a row.
“We played such a good football against the two New Caledonia side, Lifou and Dumbea and also Port Vila Two ( Tafea FC) this week.” Said Peter Takaro.
“But Port Vila Two (Tafea FC) have played an incredible football too but at the end of the day one must win so congratulates to my boys.” He said.
Port Vila Squad captain Ernie Timakata was a happy man after the final whistle.
“I never win a final or cup in a competition but today I am so happy and I want to salute my players for a very good performance.”
“Our first objective is to play good football and to win the competition.” Concluded captain Ernie Timakata.
Dumbea came third in the competition after they beat Lifou in the third place final after penalty shoot-out 7-5.
