Charles Vatu leaves Vanuatu Football

Charles came into VFF office as head of technical Department since 2012 and has been a great help to Vanuatu Football Technical Department.
The former Vanuatu national player who scores Vanuatu first goal in a World Cup qualification match against the All Whites in 1992 in Port Vila will contest the Vanuatu general election next month.

Vanuatu Football Academy coach Etienne Mermer paid tribute to Charles Vatu.
“Charles Vatu has been a dedicated person over the past two years who has given his all for Vanuatu Football and we wish him well with his future endeavours,” Mermer said.
“During his time with VFF, most of the coaches in the islands learned a lot from his expertise and received coaching skills from Vatu and his technical staffs.”
“Our responsibility now is to do everything possible to ensure that Vanuatu technical Department to move forward with success in the years to come.” Said Etienne Mermer.

“My time at VFF has been an incredible journey both professionally and personally,” says Charles.
“It has been a privilege to work in the sport that I love and wish all Vanuatu Football Staffs and players all the best for the future.”
I leave Vanuatu Football with deep respect for the football family for whom it was a pleasure to serve but I will always be a supporter of football in the years to come.” Concluded Charles Vatu.
