Beach Boys off to Gold Coast

The team is led by Head coach Wilson August, Assistant coach Jean Robert Yelou , chef Sam Tekon and players: Goalkeepers Ham Isaie (Tafea FC), Altred Malas (Tupuji Imere FC), Antonio Malap (Tupuji Imere FC), Remy Avock (Tafea FC), Pascal Chabod (Amicale FC), Don Mansale (Tupuji Majik Futsal), Don Jack (Shepherds United FC), Daniel Michel (Shepherds United FC), Nawal Narukave (Siwi FC), Daniel Natou (Tafea FC), Nanua Natou (Tafea FC) and Achille Tarrisa (Ifira Black Bird FC).
This is the first Vanuatu Football Federation sent a team to participate in the Gold Coast Beach Soccer competition in Australia.
President of Vanuatu Football Lambert Maltock encourage the players to stay focus and play well in Australia.
“On behalf of all Vanuatu Football fans, I would like to ask you boys to perform well in Australia.”
“Be an ambassador for Vanuatu Football and also behavior well in the field of play and outside the field of play.” Play with pride and always put your trust in yourself.” Said Mr. Maltock.
The tournament is sanctioned by Football Gold Coast, Football Queensland and the Australian Beach Soccer Association.
The tournament is held at Collangatta Beach on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Coolangatta is a beachside suburb of the Gold Coast in Queensland. The small rocky headland Kirra Point separates Kirra Beach to the north and Coolangatta beach to the south, and is noted as one of the world’s premier surf breaks.
Coolangatta is the southernmost suburb of the Gold Coast. Date of the competition is 7 and 9 April 2012.
