Hinge to captain Dream Team against Palm Beach

Lucien will lead the Dream Team in their first ever friendly match against the Beach today and Coach Richard Iwai said he has shown a leadership role in the camp for the last 5 days.
He said there will be 3 different players taking the role of captaincy in three different friendly matches and he and his management will finally chose a captain by the end of next week to captain Dream Team OFC Olympic Qualifier in New Zealand.
“Hinge from Pentecost Island is a great young player and deserves his chance. “We want to promote our young players to take the leadership in the team and today the captaincy will go to Lucien Hinge.”
“Giving him the armband symbolises some of the positives from this training camp in Australia in that young players have taken a step forward, and it’s a nice gesture from Iwai and the team management to make him captain for the day,” Obed Jimmy assistant coach said.
“Lucien Hinge is a strong defender and already part of Vanuatu U 20 team last year and also an intelligent guy on and off the field and of course, he will have two good defenders like Brian Kaltack and Kevin Shem Iata nearby on the day, so there’s no pressure on him.”
