Respect key to success; Coach Takaro

In an interview with vanuafoot media today, Coach Peter Takaro a High School teacher at Central School in Port Vila commented that to achieve success in football, each coach must help their players to think big about football.
“Every football player who participates to OFC competitions has different ideas when they board the plane but at the end of the day the coaches must help them to understand football well and the player’s attitude and behaviour must change before the tournament.”
“The players must have a lot of respect of their coaches, managers and other officials in the team.” They have to work hard in training and play to enjoy.”
“I have only 15 players on the trip to Noumea and they performed really really well. “These young players are fantastic and I do hope they will continue like this with other coaches in the future.” Said happy Peter Takaro.
“Justice in football is difficult to assess and in that sense I am happy for the boys because the players ran and worked hard. They fought; they had chances, and scored some great goals so I am pleased their efforts were rewarded.
Coach Peter Takaro is confident Port Vila Football is now moving in the right direction.
“The truth is that this is a step in the right direction for Port Vila Football,” he said.
The young team will meet again this afternoon at Port Vila Stadium for a light training before Christmas break.
