Academy smashed Lopatu U-20

The Vanuatu Academy U-17 boys have recorded a memorable 4-0 victory in their opening 2013 PVFA U-20 competition last Saturday at Port Vila Stadium.
The young stars show off their skills and displayed a good football in front of their two coaching staffs, Etienne Mermer, Obed Jimmy and team manager Anthony Pisano.
Lopatu U 20 team struggled to find their feet in the first half and found themselves behind after only 18 and 25 minutes when Rueben Frank netted twice in style.
After the break, Academy re-group again and striker Gregory Silas made no mistakes to place his shots into the corner of the goal beyond the reach of Lopatu goalkeeper twice as Academy beat Lopatu U-20 team 4-0.
Coach Etienne Mermer is happy with his team performance at the game.
“Our boys played well today. “The team is in very good physical shape, they are competing to the last minute in games, and giving their all,” he said. “If we win games at the end, it is because we are in good physical condition, as always.” Concluded Etienne Mermer, Vanuatu U-17 head coach.
Academy’s next friendly match is against Lamap FC on Friday.
