Beach Boys get support from PVFA

The Tahiti tournament kicks off on the 21 February 2011 until 27 February.
Mr. Robert Calvo from the League said it is important that players representing Vanuatu must be well prepared and eat good food when going through heavy or hard training.
“Without eating good food players will have not enough energy to play good football.”
Healthy foods are something that we are told to eat all the time before a tournament.”
Why does this happen? Well, it’s simple. It is all about what we eat. Our bodies use food as energy. Both carbohydrates and proteins give our bodies energy.
“PVFA would like to give this amount of money to support our boys to eat good food after their training for the next four days.”
“If our boys eat good food, they will be happy to play well for Vanuatu in OFC tournament.”
“Physical energy is not the only thing that will benefit from eating complex carbs and proteins. Brain function will also increase by eating healthy foods.” concluded Calvo.
Head coach of the team, Richard Iwai thank PVFA for their generous donation and said the sponsorship from Port Vila Football Association comes as a timely confidence booster for the team to bring back home positive results from the tournament in Tahiti.
