VFF receives keys, impressed by new football facilities

The new Northern Football Aacademy building at the Luganville Soccer Stadium is proudly funded by FIFA and has rooms for Luganville and Sanma Football Associations,VFF executive members, technical department, woman’s football, referees and changing rooms for female and male football players.

“Today is a historical day for Vanuatu Football , especially, Luagnville and Sanma Football Association.” said Mr. Lambert Maltock, VFF President.

“The dream of having a football academy in Luganville was discussed in 1998 with the dreams of our late President, Tinsly Lulu, during the time I was the general secretary of Vanuatu Football.”

“The VFF executive and staffs have worked hard over the years to make this happen, and I would like to place on record my appreciation for the help and assistance provided by the FIFA, OFC and Vanuatu Government , who have worked to ensure that this impressive project came to fruition,” he said.

“This facility will be of tremendous benefit to grassroots football and local community for many years to come.”

“I want to thank KD Enterprise ( Kim Dhin) for doing a great job.”

The keys of the new Northern Football Academy building were handed over to VFF President, Mr. Lambert Maltock by the builder, KD Enterprise (Kim Dhin) and Cyrille Mainguy before the President planted a plam tree with two young football players to remember that day.

The opening ceremony of the new Northern Football Academy building should take place in August 2015 but VFF has agreed to host the OFC C Licence coaching course in the new conference room next month from the 4-9 July 2015.
