Vanuatu named U-19 Squad to Fiji

Vanuatu’s team going down consists mostly of those selected from the OFC U-17 competition in Santo last year.
Coach Etienne Mermer devised different ways how to prepare the team especially for friendly matches.
This is a costly practise for the team so he had to think of different ways to get the boys prepared.
They played 3 friendly matches in the last 10 days. Beat Amicale 3-2 and also down Shepherds United 4-2. This week they had a draw with Amicale 1-1 at Port Vila Stadium.
The young Vanuatu national team should play Erakor Golden Star this weekend at Korman Stadium in their last friendly before they board the flight to Fiji on Tuesday 20 May 2014.
Vanuatu will play New Caledonia in their first match at ANZ Stadium in Suva Fiji on the 23rd May 2014.
