Vanuatu under 17 attacking midfielder was the player Bong Kalo was the player of the match after he netted two beautiful goals. Other two goals came from Nichol Tari and former Rewa striker Robert Tasso.
The win puts Tafea still on third place on the ladder but now with 20 points, just two points behind second place Erakor Golden Star.
Coach Moise Poida is very happy with his boys performance in the second round and said their main objective is to play well and qualify to the VFF National Super League in May this year.
“I am very proud of my boys.” We came fifth on the first leg but just before we start the second leg, I told my boys to pull up their socks and play to win if they want to play in the National Super League.” Said Moise Poida.
“Our aim now is to win matches and try to secure our place in the VFF competition.”
Tafea’s next match is against Erakor Golden Star this weekend at 3pm. Tafea needs to win to come second and Erakor needs to win to maintain the second position.
