Mauwia qualify for PVFA Premier League

Mauwia Football Club have secured the top spot in the first division championship 2016 after beating AS Ambassador 1-0 at Amicale field on Saturday and qualify to play in the Port Vila Football Premier League in 2017.

Last week, one of the club coach, George Kalo said it will be dreams come through to play in the Premier League if they beat AS Ambassador today and their dream come through.

“It is a great feeling and we don’t know how we can express ourselves.” Said George Kalo.

“Every club in the second and first division always dreams to play in the Premier League competition and it always hard.”

“We will continue to celebrate our victory today and something that we will never forget because we have been playing hard since 1991.” He said.

Seveners United FC now second on the ladder and still has the chance to come back to Premier League if they beat the third last on the Premier League table in relegation match.

Port Vila Football Association would like to congratulates Mauwia FC for making it to the Premier League next season.
