PVFA confirms relegation matches

Port Vila Football Association has confirmed that two bottom two finishers in the Premier League competition 2016 are automatically relegated to the first division next season.

And the third from bottom club in the Premier League will play a two-legged match with the second place team from the first division with the winner taking up the final place in the following season of the Premier League in 2017.

This year the league has nine clubs in the Premier League and next year PVFA will only have eight clubs competing in the Premier League 2017.

This Friday’s match between Siaraga FC and Mauriki will see which club will remain in the Premier League next season.

Both clubs have 13 points each on the ladder but Siaraga FC has a good goal difference.

Siaraga just need a draw but Mauriki needs a win over Siaraga to remain in the Premier League 2017.

The question is who will remain in the Premier League next season? Siaraga FC or Mauriki FC?
