Head coach of the Vanuatu National U-17 team, Rocky Neveserveth said the OFC U-17 Tournament in Tahiti, kicks off this weekend will not be easy.
Rocky board the plane yesterday to Tahiti via Fiji and New Zealand with his players said he believe in his young team to perform well in the competition but the travel to Tahiti is tough.
“We will spend one night in New Zealand and this Thursday evening we will fly to Tahiti and this is tough for my players because this is the first time we travelling nearly 10 hours in a plane.” Said Rocky Neveserveth.
” We will have only one day for training in Tahiti this Friday before taking on host Tahiti in our first match which is not going to be easy.”
“The other thing always in U-17 competition, every players never play in a OFC competition and this is their first time so my coaching team will make very effort to help our players ready before we take on Tahiti.” He said.
Vanuatu U-17 national team flew off to Tahiti yesterday via New Zealand.
Vanuatu will take on Tahiti this Saturday ( Sunday in Vanuatu ) at 7pm.
