VFF observe minute’s silence for Chapecoense FC.

Amicale, Erakor, Tafea and Ifira Black Bird observe minute’s silence for Chapecoense FC.

Vanuatu Football Federation and the four clubs who play in the PVFA Top Four Super League 2016 were today observing minute’s silence at Port Vila Stadium in memory of the Chapecoense FC players who died in a plane crash this week in South America… as the three Brazilian players who play for Amicale shed tears at Port Vila Stadium.

It was a touching moments because the Brazilian players, Diego Maximo, Marcelo Tannus and Elias Junior Pepeta remembered the life of the players who travel to play football and sadly they lost their life on their way to Colombia this week.

Amicale and Brazilian defender Diego Maximo, Midfielder Marcelo Tannus and striker Pepeta led silent tributes with Port Vila football fans before the kickoff of the first match of the TFSL between Amicale FC and Erakor Golden Star FC.

“Our thoughts go to the families of the players.” Said Florian Sam, the competition manager.

“We are extremely grateful to the football authorities and the football community in Vanuatu for the sympathy and support which they are showing to our football families in Brazil.” Said Diego Maximo, Amicale and Brazil defender.

“The strength of feeling throughout the country has been a great source of strength to all the players’ families and their parents at this extremely difficult time.”

“Thank you Vanuatu for your support.” He concluded.
